We are an optical design and consulting company that develops and manufactures products for multiple industries, including but not limited to aerospace/military, aviation, transportation and any company requiring ruggedized commercial applications.

Q: Where can I procure materials?
Will be available on DigiKey in November 2023.

Q: What filter thicknesses are available?
Thickness ranges are available from .010 to 0.500 inches for most filter applications.

Q: What thickness tolerances are available?
Standard sheet thickness tolerance is +/- 10% of nominal thickness specified.

Q: What sheet sizes are available?
Maximum sheet size in all thickness is 36 x 48 inches.

Q: What is the typical size tolerance?
+/- .250 on sheets larger than 12 x 12 inches. +/- .025 on sheets equal to or smaller than 12 x 12 inches.

Q: What type of filter functions are available?
There are several types: Transparent Clear, Transparent Colored and Translucent Composite structures, Short Pass, Long Pass and Selective Band Pass types.

Q: What colors are available?
Any color that can be defined by the CIE/UCS color coordinate system that is available, including whites and neutral density grays.

Q: How are colored filters defined?
Color filters are defined by spectral transmission curves or by CIE/UCS chromatic coordinates related to a specified light source.

Q: How are Laser blocking filters defined?
Laser blockers are defined by the desired blocking bandwidth and desired optical density.

Q: How can scratch resistance be improved?
Scratch resistance is improved by selective hard coatings.

Q: Are anti-glare surfaces available?
Either patterned mechanical and AR chemical surface treatments are available.

Q: Are filters rated for long term outdoor usage?
Filters are constructed using synthetic dye compounds that are known for excellent stability in direct sunlight applications.

Q: Will clear or colorless filters yellow in harsh weather?
All filters, colored or clear, include UV absorption dyes and are guaranteed not to yellow or become brittle.

Q: How do I apply the coating?
Can be brushed on or applied using a spray gun.

Q: Is there a special instruction using spray gun to apply the coating?

Yes, in form of cell cast panel. The product will be available in Q1 of 2024. However, if samples are required please contact us.
